Description

I founded Knuckleball Nation almost 14 years ago. It all started with a simple website and a single clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was residing in Sin City during an off-season and decided to start sharing what I’d learned from Charlie Hough, Phil Niekro and Tom Candiotti. So, as an ode to the very beginning of Knuckleball Nation, I continue to put on the Las Vegas Clinic every Columbus Day Weekend.

The clinic has attracted pro pitchers from as far away as Japan. It’s also been attended by retirement-age weekend warriors looking to throw a knuckleball for fantasy camp and pee-wee knuckleballers as young as nine.

Everyone is welcome.

Guest instructors over the years have included Mickey Jannis and Alex Blandino — two pitchers who have throw knuckleballs at the Major League level.

And this is your chance to show support to my small business by registering for a $100 early-bird discount for the 14th Annual Las Vegas Clinic next Columbus Day Weekend, 2024.

Don’t worry if you sign up and cannot attend. You won’t lose the value of your registration. You can put the money towards other Knuckleball Nation products, lessons or clinics.

Here are the clinic details:

Where?

Bases Loaded Batting Cages

7520 W Washington Ave #180, Las Vegas, NV 89128

When?

Columbus Day Weekend, Saturday & Sunday, October 12th & 13th, 2024

What Time?

Saturday, Oct 12, from 3p to 5p

Sunday, Oct 13, from 10a to Noon

Who’s Instructing?

Founder of Knuckleball Nation and pro knuckleballer, Chris Nowlin

Guest instructor: ???… it could be Mickey Jannis or Alex Blandino. Time will tell.

Is There an Age Limit?

No. It’s best to start throwing the knuckleball as young as possible, and pitchers in their 60’s have attended Knuckleball Nation clinics over the past 13 years.

Is There a Skill Level Requirement?

No. The skill level ranges all the way from professional minor league and pro Japanese pitchers all the way down to retirement-age fantasy camp attendees. The knuckleball is a pitch for the everyman. All are welcome including girls and women. In fact, female pro Kelsie Whitmore tuned up her skills at a Phil Niekro knuckleball clinic before Covid.

It’s nearly guaranteed that Alex Blandino will be in attendance. The three-year Cincinnati Reds infielder and first-round draft pick is making an MLB comeback as a full-time knuckleballer and has a very good chance of getting back to the Big Leagues.

What’s It Cost?

Right now, there’s a $100 early-bird discount to put Knuckleball Nation’s most affordable clinic at $295. The discount will disappear once a certain number of pitchers sign up. Look forward to seeing you in Sin City.
