I’ve been looking for the time to blow up Knuckleball Nation. Building a website, a brand and an audience takes time, and now I have the time. I’ve accepted the positon as GM at Beimel Elite Athletics in Los Angeles, CA. The facility is state of the art, and many MLB stars walk through the doors, including Joey Votto, Kenley Jansen, Lucas Giolito and Joe Beimel.
I have keys to the facility and all that it offers. In the coming weeks, you’ll see plenty of videos populate the YouTube channel. The videos will discuss all things knuckleball, from mechanics and the release to the mental game and the current state of the knuckleball in professional baseball. This launch of a monetized YouTube channel will coincide with an all-out assault on social media to advertise the content.
And as the brand grows, you can peruse the brand new website. Check here for weekly updates via the Knuckle-blog, pickup an instructional product like a worldwide clinic registration or the new 18-week at-home training program, or buy some merchandise to spread the word about Knuckleball Nation.
You can take a stroll through the history of Knuckleball Nation’s clinics that have featured Hall of Famer Phil Niekro, Cy Young Award winner RA Dickey, MLB All-star Steven Wright and Major League knuckleballer Mickey Jannis. And don’t forget to register for the new clinic featuring 24-year MLB legend Charlie Hough. He’s the one who mentored me and I believe he is the best teacher of the pitch on the planet. He’s also a really nice guy with plenty of stories.
The third iteration of the knuckleball instructional video is currently in progress. Filmed inside of Beimel Elite Athletics, the video is an hour long and takes you through the most important adjustments that you need to make as a knuckleball pitcher.
